A bit about my style and approach…

Over a Decade of Experience

I started photographing weddings more than 10 years ago, capturing unique wedding stories of couples like you. Each year has been a journey in refining my craft, ensuring that every wedding I document is a true reflection on your day.

Unobtrusive and Authentic

My photographic style is unobtrusive, allowing the day to unfold naturally while I discreetly capture the moments of joy, laughter, and emotion. I strive to make you feel at ease in front of the camera, ensuring every moment is captured with genuine emotion.

Creative Portraits

Beyond the candid moments, I love to create fresh and artistic portraits that I know you’ll love to hang on the wall

First-Class Customer Service

From our initial consultation to the delivery of your images, I am committed to providing a first-class customer experience. I pride myself on being readily available to answer any questions leading up to the wedding and offering any advice where needed. Capturing the magic of your wedding day is not just a job for me it's a privilege. I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to be a part of your story and create timeless memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

life…

Originally from Scotland my wife and I moved to Newcastle over 20 years ago. We love the area with a great city, people and stunning coastline. Now with 2 kids and a dog we all love going for family trips to the stunning beaches in Northumberland.

Other things I love.. Going to gigs, Playing golf (if you play let’s get a game) Running (have done a couple of Great North Runs) and getting out in the dark nights for some astro photography.

Managed to capture the northern lights in Northumberland a couple of times and we took a family trip to Iceland and got lucky enough to see an amazing aurora display. (Photo below)

Iceland my favourite place to visit

Capturing the Northern Lights through photography is a challenge that I’ve been working on for many years now. Seeing them a few times in Northumberland was magical but seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland is not just a visual spectacle; it's a soul-stirring encounter leaving you with a sense of awe at the beauty that exists in the world. Close to tears writing that haha! I hope to return to Iceland some day and highly recommend a visit. Its a magical place and will leave a lasting impression on you.

Photography…

I first got a real passion for photography when at college, we did a photography module as part of the design course I studied. It was shot on film (yes I’m that old!) and we developed our own photos in the darkroom at college. Since then I’ve always had a camera and alongside my graphic design career kept working and improving my skills over the years. My first wedding was back in 2011 and I completely fell in love with wedding photography. After a few years I went full time and left my graphic design job to become a full time professional wedding photographer.

Now with experience of shooting around 250 weddings and winning numerous international awards my passion for wedding photography is as strong as ever

He’s really captured the vibe and the humour of the day, which was really important to us. We have some incredible photos of a wonderful day that we’ll treasure forever.
